Giving THANKS!

Each Year around this time we have an Employee FEAST that ends our Harvest season and also commemorates our November Birthdays on the Farm. This year we set up Picnic tables in the Packing house and used some portable heaters to make the space comfortable. Brown Paper and Vases of varying sizes filled with flowers & Pyrocantha decorated the tables in a fall theme. Food was ordered from the Buckhorn Restaurant… A vegetarian Lasagna, Pork loin & Roasted Vegetables. It was very affordable and easy to order. A green salad with cranberries, feta & Almonds, fresh cranberry sauce, Apple cider, Squash soup, and desserts were provided or purchased for the meal as well. Activities were kept to a minimal with a word game for raffle tickets. After the meal Jim D suggested a walk around the fields and some of the employees did just that... and later he took Cindy & Deb P out on a Kubota "tour" that ended with an empty Gas Tank! Our Farm Manager arrived to save the day and we all gave “THANKS” for another wonderful End of The Harvest Celebration!
