Farm 2 Fork claims to be one of the biggest No-Waste Events in the country! We were invited by Raley’s to participate in their booth at the Capitol Mall in Sacramento On Sept 28th. The event brings the Public into contact with local farms, restaurants and other Farm related organizations to promote an understanding of where our food comes from and how it gets to our tables. Jim Durst attended with helpers Deb Perdue and Lauren Perdue as part of Raley’s “Living Local “ promotion featuring farms within a 50 mile radius to their Sacramento store. The booth was set up so that visitors could meet the farmers and buy their products FARMERS MARKET style. Durst Organic Growers brought some Cherry tomato skewers for tasting and Raleys set up a beautiful display of many Durst Cherry Tomato varieties and our Durst Winter Squash.
