WELCOME TO THE D.O.G. BLOG!
We recently had some visitors to the Farm from LifeSTEPS, a non-profit organization that provides social services to seniors, families and children offering programs that empower and impact the community! Such programs include Education, After School Programs, Senior Services, Resource Information... & the list goes on. The S.T.E.P. in LifeSTEPS stands for 'Skills Training and Educational Programs' & LifeSTEP's founders believe that buildingaffordable housing is only the first step. It is also essential to provide meaningful programs that empower people to move forward in their lives. This philosophy is also right in step with our own farming beliefs... "Feed the soil and the soil will feed the plant". We are looking forward to working with LifeSTEPS in the coming months, planning a visitor program in October that will include children and seniors interacting together with agriculture on the Farm and realizing the vine that ties us all together! Now that's a step in the right direction!
