As part of our Pumpkin Patch this year we coordinated with The America Recycles Day for 2012. This campaign helps to educate & motivate participants to make the act of recycling an everyday practice. Event resources such as stickers, pencils, pledge cards and educational materials were provided by hosting an event. At the Farm we posted some recycling signs that led kids down a path to receive a Durst Organic Growers Water bottle (re-usable of course). Other materials were sent on to the Esparto Middle school where on November 15th the kids were able to set up a booth to teach others about recycling at home & school. Some were able to sign a pledge acknowledging their awareness of the need to recycle, reduce & reuse! Thanks to Chelsea Becker at the RISE after school program for supporting the efforts and campaign to Keep America Beautiful!
