As Tradition goes, the Durst Pumpkin Patch was alive and well in 2012!
Each year the children come out with big smiles to pick the perfect Jack
O' Lantern for Halloween partaking of many activities, harvest
education, Tractor rides and FUN! We were happy to host several groups
in our Yolo community and beyond in October. The Esparto RISE Program
led the way with two bus loads of children in the after school program.
Also from RISE was the preschool group from Esparto who came out on a
separate day with parents in tow. These visits barely tapped the huge
amount of pumpkins for harvest in the field this year and Durst Organic
welcomed groups from outside the area including Brownie Troop 675 from
Sacramento, the Yolo Food Bank and Arbuckle Parents Club who took about
150 to benefit a Harvest Carnival for Arbuckle Elementary School.
